PAUL McCARTNEY Three years after his last jaw-dropping performance at Fenway, Sir Paul’s back to please the masses again this weekend. A glance at Setlist.fm suggests he’s playing a bushel of songs he didn’t get around to last time, while also hitting some of the same beats and Beatles tunes that made that previous visit so memorable. July 17, 6:30 p.m. $55-$104. Fenway Park. boston.redsox.mlb.com

MIRACLE LEGION Singer-songwriter Mark Mulcahy and guitarist Mr. Ray Neal, founding members of this cherished New Haven college-rock quartet, reunite with their circa late-’80s rhythm section (bassist Dave McCaffrey, drummer Scott Boutier) to celebrate the vinyl reissue of 1996 LP “Portrait of a Damaged Family.” We can’t imagine a more agreeable intro act than Boston’s jangly Bent Shapes. July 17,  8 p.m. $20, advance $18. The Sinclair, Cambridge. 617-547-5200, http://www.sinclaircambridge.com

GUNS N’ ROSES “Not in This Lifetime,” they call the tour that brought Axl Rose, Slash, and Duff McKagan back together after years of estrangement. The rest of the band mostly dates from the “Chinese Democracy” era; all available evidence suggests that it sticks. It’d better, given how many tickets this two-night stand needs to move; Lenny Kravitz opens both shows. July 19, 20, 7 p.m. $25-$280. Gillette Stadium, Foxborough. 800-745-3000, http://www.ticketmaster.com

ANDERSON .PAAK If you caught the BET Awards telecast in June, you saw this Oxnard, Calif.-born hip-hop upstart mop the floor with a lot of veterans when he performed “Come Down” from “Malibu,” the impressive LP he released in January. Here, he’ll have all night to impress you. July 21,  8 p.m. $22, advance $20. Paradise Rock Club. 800-745-3000, http://www.ticketmaster.com
